Loan Players and Departures
During
the summer transfer window four of academy products were sold or went
on loan to further their careers and gain first team experiences. These
players are; Scott Sinclair, Jack Cork, Ryan Bertrand and Michael Mancienne.
Scott has joined Swansea in a permanent move. Scott appeared in 10 games
for our first team scoring 1 goal. He has rejoined former Youth and
Reserve team coach Brendan Rogers at the Swalec Stadium, and has been in
impressive form so far this season, already reaching double figures in a
bid to help Swansea gain promotion to the Premier League and gaining a
spot in the England U21 squad against Germany.
Jack Cork has rejoined Burnley on Loan for the season.
Jack impressed on loan last season under Brain Laws and like Scott is
doing his best to help Burnley back into the Premier League. Jack scored
his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.
Michael Mancienne has also rejoined a former club,
linking up with Mick McCarthy at Wolves on a season long loan. Michael
appeared in 33 Premier League games last season for the midlands club
and again this season has been a regular member of the Wolves starting
eleven.
Finally, Ryan Bertrand has joined Nottingham Forest on a 6 month loan deal after impressing last season on loan at Reading.
We continue to wish all of the lads successful seasons.

Premier League U15 Festival Winners
Earlier this month the Premier League hosted a one day U15s
festival here at Cobham. It was a six team tournament, comprising
of: Tottenham, Charlton, Crystal Palace, Ipswich, Southampton and
Chelsea. Each team played each other once in a 25 minute game with
no intervals.
Our boys went unbeaten throughout the day winning 4 and drawing 1 of
their 5 games, leading them top of the table and winners.
Congratulations to the boys and everyone else involved!

Reserve & Youth Team Update
So far this season the reserves have had a strong start to
the season. They have won three, drawn one and only have lost once.
Highlights of the season so far are the 3-1 home win against Liverpool,
and Fabio Borinis 5 goals against West Brom in a 5-4 away win.
The Youth team have handed many younger players their debuts this
season, continuing with the clubs tradition of challenging young players
early clubs.
One moment that deserves special mention was Toddy Kanes brilliant 25 yard strike that earned a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

New Recipe Notice Board!
We would like to inform the parents and players there will be a new
notice board in the Academy restaurant. It will be next to the tea/
coffee machine.
This notice board will be displaying weekly recipes and ideas for
players or parents to take home. We will have a selection of recipes–
Breakfast recipes, Lunch tips, Meat dishes, Fish and quick recipes –
These are hinters and tips to help those with players training if they
need to rustle up a quick fix for the players.
Each recipe card will display a brief nutrition tip to hopefully
encourage both the players and parents on what we are trying to achieve
here at Chelsea.
The notice board will also display schedules for parent sessions during
the season. The parents will have interactive sessions with the chefs
and assist with any questions or quires they may have.
We will also be displaying the youth interactive lunch sessions on the
notice board. There are 7 syllabus cooking lessons here at the Academy
kitchen. There will also be an option for a player to step in if certain
players are not available etc.
These lessons teach the youths about balanced meals and how to cook
basic and more complicated meals. We do this so when the player
goes out on loan they have more knowledge on quality seasonal foods and
how to prepare them.
We hope this notice board will help the parents and the players and become a very useful tool.
Youth Cup is Back!

fantastic year again this season!.
